What is the total length of the two drum pendant light. It mentions the height of the shade but I can't find the length (across the table) of the total fixture. Is a round fixture more pleasing than a rectangular for a rectangular table?  I have a 6' table that extends to 9'.

The total length of the fixture, from the edge of one shade to the opposite edge of the other shade, is about 42 inches. It will spread more light across a long rectangular table than our Large Dining Pendant, which is 26 inches long and designed for a standard length dining table. Also round shades can visually soften the hard edges of a rectangular table, making it more inviting and less formal.

Because your table extends to 9 feet, I would recommend the 2 Light Large Cylinder Pendant. It will cast more light over your table in its extended position, but not visually overpower it in the shortened position.
