Cord-hung pendants are easy to install and can be hung on a vaulted ceiling with no problem. The look is sleek and minimalist.
We provide 4.5 feet (54 inches) of cord on a standard configuration for any cord-hung pendant, which can be cut to a shorter length at the time of installation. This is usually sufficient for rooms with ceilings up to 10 feet high. You can also specify 15 feet of cord for an additional charge.
Cord should be no shorter than 3 inches to allow for ventilation of the fixture.
You can install our cord-hung styles on vaulted or angled ceilings with no problem, and the pendant will hang straight.
Some customers need to pull the cord over to one side from where it exits from the ceiling canopy. You can do this with a cord-hung style. You will need a hook that attaches to the ceiling where you want the pendant to hang, and then the cord can be draped over it.
You can install our cord-hung styles on a track system, provided the track manufacturer has a "pendant adapter". This is provided by the track manufacturer.
A canopy is the plate that mounts to the ceiling.
We only sell completed fixtures, not parts.
You only need one junction box for any of our fixtures---including our double-suspensions (like the large rectangular) and our 2 light and 3 light pendants.
Canopies, just like all of our hardware, are either powder coated or hand finished. We inspect each and every part at several stages of production to ensure 100% top quality.
All of our canopies are large enough to fully cover a standard 4" round junction box. The canopy for any of our drum, square, and smaller rectangular and oval pendants is 5" in diameter. The canopy for our large rectangular and oval pendants is 5" x 13". The canopy for our 2 Light and 3 Light pendants is 5" x 30".
